We spent a good part of the day on the beach, having some fun in the sun and meeting all kinds of people, most of whom were very interested in hearing about Jesus and about our lifestyle of living as His fulltime disciples. The majority of the people we met had some trouble trying to figure out exactly who we are and what we are, since they relate Christianity to going to church once or twice a week, if even that much; as compared to our lifestyle of doing our best to dedicate as much time as possible to studying God's word and telling the world about Jesus. The concept of discipleship seemed to be something most of the people we met today thought only existed 2,000 years ago. The majority of the people in South Padre Island this week are college students and our talking to them provoked them to think more deeply about their own faith. Whatever you spend most of your time doing everyday is what you really believe in, right? So we challenged the people we met to simply count the hours in a single day, of how much they spend doing whatever it is that they do, to help them realize that that's what they really believe in. In other words, whatever you spend most of your time doing everyday is what you REALLY believe in. By sunset we were all back at the Prophet Bus where Andrew organized a fun "endtime" drama, followed by gypsy dancing and more personal, one on one witnessing. See you tomorrow. MY SHEEP HEAR MY VOICE AND FOLLOW

March 13: Another full day of witnessing and talking with people here in South Padre Island about Jesus. We met quite a few spiritually hungry students on the beach today from all over the U.S. and Europe. Meanwhile, the bus also attracted lots of people and we used it as our base to teach several Bible classes today. Our guitars were also in full use throughout the day and into long into the night. What a thrilling sight to see open and receptive sheep. Jesus said, "M y sheep hear my voice and they follow me." There certainly are a lot of sheep here... 'baaaa'. The night ended at 2:00 am when we had a visit from the local police, asking us to sing them.

SPIRITUAL TRAVELERS FIND PROPHET BUS

We woke up at about 9:00 am after a long night of sharing the wonder working words and music that Jesus has given us to everybody who came into the bus. We were especially moved to talk with a group of college students who came all the way down from Indiana University. They told us that they prayed before heading out on their adventure. They wanted it to be a spiritual journey. The amazing thing is that we also prayed before leaving our Houston base, to meet all the people who were searching for the truth. What is the truth? Jesus said: “I am the truth”. So there we were, sitting on the Prophet Bus, face to face this group of university students hungering for answers and sitting there in amazement that they found us. They said: “We sure did come to the right campground!” They parked only a 30-second walk away from the bus. They passed by, saw the signs pointing to our website and started talking to Sara at the back door. She invited them onto the bus and so began hours and hours of discussion and spiritual exchange. Some of these guys are Christians and were traveling with their Bibles, but some them had never opened their hearts to receive Jesus, until tonight. It was a thrilling experience of sharing the words from the Bible with hungry souls. All we can do is share the words that God gave us in the Bible and He and the Holy Spirit have to do the rest.

During the day, we went out to the beach, 2 by 2, searching for lost souls and looking for people who wanted to know more about Jesus. Clare sang and prayed with several people who became emotional and were very touched by the love that she showed them. They prayed with her inviting Jesus to come into their lives. We met many others and we invited them all back to the Prophet Bus for a night of music, word and fellowship.

At 8:00 pm the bus was packed out once again. We were sitting there face to face with people we had talked with during the day. Once again the music began and the Spirit started flowing. The atmosphere was electric. The Holy Spirit came down and it felt as if the Prophet Bus lifted right off the ground into another dimension. Everyone was engulfed in the Spirit. You could see the expressions on the faces of everyone on the bus as they experienced the power of unity and our love for God. Hands were raised and praises were everywhere and the music rang out.

Finally, Sebastien, 17 and David started the class. For the next hour, we heard from the Bible about the importance of sharing our faith with others – which we call witnessing. In the middle of the class, David used the TV to show one of the witnessing skits we had done at home and one of our music videos, “You Made It”. It was an inspired time and the 40 people on the bus were thrilled. It’s difficult to explain how God’s spirit moves, but we did our best to capture it all on film and you can see it for yourself on our upcoming DVD: “Prophets Gone Even More Wild: Padre Island Revisited”.

The evening ended with hours of personal talking with our visitors. Deep conversations about God and purpose in our lives continued into the wee hours of the night.

WILD WITNESSING ON SOUTH PADRE ISLAND

The journey to South Padre Island was a smooth one and we arrived at our campground just after sunset. We teamed up with friends and family from Austin and San Antonio which gave the night an extra boost. David, Michelle and Johnny went off to see if any local restaurants wanted to donate dinner for all 22 of us and alas, they came back with 22 hamburgers, donated by a kind restaurant manager. We added some hot dogs, potato salad and bananas to the mix and our dinner turned into a feast.

It was cool and rainy outside, so we bundled up in the bus and pulled out a few guitars. Someone shouted: “Let the music roll” – and it did. It turned into an incredible night of music and personal witnessing as 25 teenagers and college students flocked into the bus from the campground. Before long the bus was filled from one end to the other. Eventually we broke into small groups

Highlights from tonight: David Fisher met Stephen who said he was sad that the churches condemned people. He was very receptive and is definitely a potential disciple.

Maria & Sara were in the back corner of the bus, talking with another guy – Josh, about giving his life to Jesus. Josh said that he didn’t like the churches because they had too much religion and not enough God. He was very interested in our mission work, getting involved. He was also very interested in Bible prophecy. He said he wanted to know more about our work and Family and wants to come again tomorrow.

Our witnessing offensive has begun and we can just feel it in the Spirit. Everywhere we go people are attracted to jump on the bus. They want to talk about God and listen to the music. The people here seem to be looking for “higher ground”. Before the night was over we put on of our DVD versions of our Prophet Bus journey up to watch and we prayed with 12 people to receive Jesus into their lives – many of them wanting to come back tomorrow. WILD PROPHETS: LATE NIGHT PREP

As usual, it's a major undertaking to get everything ready to roll. Thank God, David FINALLY put in new fuel lines a few weeks ago and we're praying and hoping that this trip of more than 800 miles (1,287 kilometers) will be smooth sailing with no mechanical problems... If you followed our adventures last year, you know that we had our share of breakdowns and repairs. But, alas, this is a new year and we've replaced everything from the muffler to the oil cooler (if you know what that is), to the batteries and starter, etc, etc, etc. Anyway, we're about to go down and wake up all the disciples and ready ourselves for the week ahead. It is actually 4:00 am as I, your big red Prophet Bus write this, I have to ask you if you remember how Jesus rose a ‘a great while before dawn’ to go out and connect with His Father? If we follow His footsteps we should be ready to do the same, right? OK, enough of my preachments. Let's go! Pictures and media stuff coming in a few hours. It's a GREAT feeling to get back out on the ROAD, doing what Jesus told us to do: Mark 16:15. ("Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature.) Stay tuned.

PROPHETS GONE EVEN MORE WILD

Yes, here we go again... it's Spring Break 2008 and hundreds of thousands of college students flock to South Padre Island, about 30 miles north of the Mexican border in south, southeast Texas. Following the words of our Leader, (aka JC), 11 of us piled into the Prophet Bus and headed south. Crazy as ever, we grabbed our guitars, tracts and Activated mags and lots of bread and sandwich meat and hit the road. Check it out...
