March 12, 2007 - On the Road Again

Spring Breakers here we come.  If you followed us on our last, icy trip, you'll be happy to know that this time we're headed south - to South Padre Island, a few miles north of the Mexican border in Texas.  Scores of college students from all over the U.S. and Europe are gathering there to celebrate a week of partying it up.

Our mission: To give them the words of Jesus and challenge them to dedicate their lives to God's service.  The girls prepared the food for our next trip, the carpenters worked through the night and everyone else prepared the literature, the sound system, the guitars and our Bibles. We could feel the call of the Holy Spirit, compelling us once again to leave everything behind and hit the road.  Andrew spent the day putting the final touches on the "Prophet Drama", a street play with a powerful message from the Bible. Stay tuned.

The Prophet Bus makes its grand exit from base at 5:30 in the morning.

While we fuelled up the bus, the boys went over to tell a truck driver about Jesus.

Oh no! We lost our muffler! Ryan checks it out.

About 2 hours before arriving to South Padre Island, one of the brackets on our tailpipe broke, loosening the muffler.

Oh how the muffler has fallen, has fallen.

Johnny kicks part of the tailpipe off the road.

Ryan and boys pow-wow the muffler problem.

Back on the road, approaching South Padre Island.
